We are getting exactly what we need: real game type playing time and situations with a young team. You think Auburn got anything out of that shite show with Stella? Good that they got their balloon deflated a little. Don't go booking that Final Four trip just yet. I think Sexton was frustrated tonight. Good numbers from the two young studs tonight. The upperclassmen need to step it up and contribute more. I don't want a two man show and that's what we've seen the first two games. Someone needs to step up and lead besides the freshmen.

I agree. I think we're better off losing one of these than if we had dominated all 3 opponents.

It depends on the situation. I don't think Avery would've had Petty and Sexton on the bench so long in the 2nd half in a real game. That Carleton stretch to end the third quarter after we took our first lead really killed us.

I think we'll come out with some fire tomorrow now that we lost a game. I expect Sexton to have a great game and we know Petty will. Hopefully we'll have some others who want to win. We didn't tonight

Moving on to Ottawa- the Gee Gees, pronounced G G's, finished last season 16-3 and 2nd in their division behind rival Carleton. In exhibition play they went 3-2 against NCAA competition last season. Alabama is their first game of this season. Ottawa's best finish is national runner up in 2014 and 2015.

Braxton, Sexton, and Petty all finished in double figures and combined to shoot 15-of-27 (.556) from the field and 8-of-15 (.533) from beyond the arc. The rest of the players were 10-of-39 (.256) from the floor and 1-of-9 (.111) from deep.
