They're enough of a powerhouse to just reload, but they did lose four of five starters.

Bruce and Avery have watched a fair amount of Ashton Hagans. It'll be a battle to get him especially if/when Kentucky offers.

I personally want us to really focus in state for 2019. Watford, Kira, and Jaykwon Walton, who I hope we offer soon, would be a great class.

2020 looks like it could be good in state as well.

Antwann Burnett if he doesn't quit basketball to just play football is a guard that can score in bunches.

Colby Jones is an athletic two guard at 6'3".

Rongie Gordon is a versatile three who can finish at the rim or from beyond the arc.

Zondrick Garrett is a 6'7" four man. He's a great athlete who could become a great PF if he grows 2 or 3 inches and adds more weight.

Paulie Stramaglia is a high iq guard who shoots threes well. He's basically the stereotypical good white point guard.

Kameron Woods is a volume scorer.

Making the switch to the Adidas circuit for his final weekend of travel basketball, there really was nothing else for Jared Butler to prove to the throng of college coaches and the media that continue to evaluate him. Thanks to his toughness, continued progressions and competitive grit, Butler's stock has continued to improve in recent weeks.

Holding offers from some of the best programs nationally, Butler recently pulled in ones from Wichita State, Cincinnati, Purdue and Virginia. For the longest time, many believed that it would be difficult to pull the New Orleans native out of the southeast. Keeping that in mind and thanks to their early pursuance, Texas and Alabama have been the most talked about and likeliest of destinations for him.

Shaka Smart and Avery Johnson have been constant observers in Las Vegas but there might be a sleeper school now in the mix. Butler did confide that the Longhorns and Tide were potentially his top two but Virginia has made a late push and is now in the conversation. Indeed the Wahoos may now secure an official visit in the coming months and have a final say with where the tough and productive Louisiana native attends college.

If the goal is to make the NBA, Avery seems like the obvious choice over Shaka and Bennett.

If the goal is an education, Virginia is the new favorite.

Hearing Alabama's early back court look in prep for its foreign tour is Dazon Ingram and Collin Sexton together. Can you say hard to guard?

If so that leaves Riley, petty, herb and resse as reserves. That's pretty strong.

Or do you think Riley slides to 4 because he can rebound and giddons and hall play opposite of each other?

Could go with any of these

1. Sexton, Ingram, Key, Giddens, Hall
2. Sexton, Ingram, Norris, Key, Hall/Giddens
3. Sexton, Ingram, Petty, Key, Hall/Giddens

I like option 1 but I doubt we see it because hall gets into foul trouble and we will need them to be opposite of each other

Option 3 will probably be the best possible lineup if Petty continues to shine in practice. Idk what lineup we'll see Day 1, but I think option 3 will be our final lineup once it's all settled

Hyped. This year I think we should have a season long thread for talk between games, and then start a game thread for each game.

We have enough posters to make a game thread work.

Jerry Palm way too early bracketology LINK

Bama as a 7 seed matched up against TCU.

He has 6 other teams getting in from the SEC: Florida, Kentucky, Arkansas, Vandy, Mizzou, Texas A&M

I'm not as high on Vandy as other people seem to be. Also Arkansas fans are much higher on their team than most I am. I don't think Gafford is going to come in and replace Kingsley immediately like they think.

Arkansas fans have lost their minds this offseason. Especially the ones on twitter. They seem to think they'll finish top 3 and no lower than 4th or 5th. They don't understand that this isn't the easy cakewalk SEC that it used to be. Basically every team in the conference will be better next year.
