Yea, me too. I feel bad for the kid, but he definitely has limitations within his game. Hopefully this mean we have a good chance with Cheatham/Purifoy.

Brandon Austin

We also apparently offered Tre Scott today who is a 2015 SF. I want to know when the hell Wilridge is getting his offer. He's a consensus top 100 player with an impressive offer list who apparently favors us even though we haven't offered. What the hell are we waiting for?

Yeah Kessens better be doing a good sell job on him.

As for Austin, it's best for both parties. He's not a high major player right now.

@TheRecruitScoop: Former Tennessee signee CJ Turman- a 2014 PF from Morgan County (GA) committed to Florida Atlantic tonight, a source said. Hmm….

That says more about his academics than his high school coach being hired there.

It has to. I wonder how he would have been able to qualify at UT?

Probably wouldn't have if I were to guess.

According to his Q&A on that site, our reasoning for not offering could be one of two things: his MCL sprain that he's recovering from or the fact that Pujol was his main contact. He said Alabama was still his leader early in the Q&A, but he also found out later in the Q&A that Pujol had been replaced. Looks like someone dropped the ball on letting him know...

If Pujol was his main recruiter, maybe we just haven't been very high on him It's not often that Pettway/Brannen aren't the lead recruiter for a guy.

That's what I would think too, but judging from his offers and rankings I think we should at least keep tabs on the kid.

Haas is the top rated player on 247 from Alabama. Be prepared to be annoyed to death

Wow, really? What do they see in him that couldn't be seen with someone like Moussa Gueye. Potential, yes, but seems like a project.

No clue. Most programs didn't see anything in him either

Here's a good write up on some guys we are recruiting: LINK

Yea I figured he'd take the lead in the composite rankings after scout's idiotic rankings. I think I'll probably just shut my mouth this time. Most people on that board knows that poster is an assclown. He tries to back his argument by saying his "friend" Wimp likes Haas. As if Wimp Sanderson spends his retirement scouting high school basketball...

7'2". High school scouts tend to masturbate to excessively tall players. It's one of the reasons I like Jerry Meyer. He ranks some on potential, but he usually sticks more to their current talent level. That's why 247's rankings has him as the 5th best player in Alabama.

They seem really high on Purifoy, which I am as well.

Looks like UK cooled on him.

In Meyer's update, he put him as the best player in Bama, not just composite.

I also don't know why CC is down on Purifoy. He's a guy we really need to get. It'd hurt to lose a guy that talents from our own backyard in Centreville.

Says he's #142 in 247sports. Isaac Haas 247

Agree on Purifoy. Feel better about him now that UK has backed off. I think CC just likes to downplay our chances so no one gets their hopes up and bashes Grant if he goes elsewhere.

Yeah you're right. My bad on that one. I glanced right over the composite part when he said updated rankings.
