Bama will probably never miss another playoff for some time, even after Saban retires.

The ‘19 team was ranked outside the top 12, and they were a better team than this year’s team.

This year's team really doesn't have a good resume. Just isn't up to the standards that we have been accustomed.

The issue to me isn't that Bama missed the playoff, it's Ohio State, Michigan and TCU made it despite coasting through a schedule that Mississippi State would look like the Patriots against.
If we were to swap schedules with Michigan, we'd be undefeated and Michigan would have 3-4 losses.
How many goddamn playoff blowouts will it take for the committee to finally see the light? None of these teams are going to put up a quarter of the fight against Georgia that LSU put up. At some point, these teams are going to have to be penalized. With OU and Texas joining the conference, it's only going to make it more challenging for the SEC while homie the clown cruises past the likes of Purdue, UCONN, Northwestern, Indiana, etc. en route to another playoff berth.

Do y’all watch the games? Or hell - even look at the results?
Do you realize the SEC West’s only win against an OOC P5 team with a winning record was our win over Texas?
The SEC, in particular the West, was not good this year. Over half the division lost an OOC game.

I’d recommend going to bet your house on the UGA line then.

Half the fan base is delusional anymore… their only argument is that we’re in the SEC but if you actually look at our wins…. Then it’s meh

And Michigan’s OOC games were against UConn, Colo St, and Hawaii. Michigan had two tough opponents, OSU and Penn St. the rest are not good at all. We’re not comparing the SEC west to the top 10 or the SEC west the past decade.

We went 3-2 against teams with winning records.
All this excuse making is the opposite of what the Saban dynasty was built on.

So they beat two teams better than any one we beat.

Let’s compare it to other leagues then.
1. LSU lost to the second best team in the ACC Atlantic and went 1-2 against SEC East opponents
2. Alabama beat the third best team in the Big XII by one point and went 1-1 against the East
3. Miss State went 0-2 against the East, played a baby soft OOC schedule
4. Ole Miss to their credit actually faired well outside the division
5. Arkansas lost to a G5 team, 1-1 against the East
6. Auburn lost at home by 4 scores to its only quality OOC opponent, 1-1 against the East
7. A&M lost to a pretty bad G5 team, 0-2 against the East
What about that division says hard schedule? The division second best OOC win was probably Ole Miss over Troy

They beat one team better than we beat. Penn St is equivalent to Miss St or Ole Miss.

LSU- They barely lost to FSU with a brand new coach and huge turnover. They are a better team now than they were in week one. In fairness, FSU is a significantly better team than week one as well. LSU was missing the majority of their Oline against UTk and everyone is getting beat by UGA.
Alabama- we were playing against a coach that’s knows everything about our team. I’m not surprised it was a tight game. We won though and that’s what matters.
Miss St- played at the time a good UK team before they fell apart. They at least played a P5 OOC and a decent to top Group of 5 team.
Ole Miss- you agree
Arkansas- Shouldn’t have lost to Liberty even if they had to start one of the worst QBs to ever start for an SEC team.
Auburn and A&M are just bad.
The SEC East is better than the West this year. I'm not saying they are.
Now let’s do the BIG 10 East.
Michigan already talked about them
OSU beat Notre Dame
Penn St beat Auburn
Maryland beat SMU
Mich St played Wash but lost
Indiana played Cincinnati but lost
Rutgers played BC but lost
Mich and OSU are similar to Bama and Penn St is like Miss St or Ole Miss. the rest of their division is anywhere from Auburn to Arkansas.
