Shedeur Sanders
Cam Ward
Jalen Milroe

Those are the top three draft-eligible QBs? That's not great.

If Anthony Richardson can be drafted in the first round, I guarantee you someone will take a shot with Milroe.

Richardson had insane measurables and was not surrounded by 4 and 5 star talent at Florida.
Milroe is second round at best.

I don't see him on that draft board that was shared.

You think Jalen isn't going to have crazy measureables at the combine? Defenders looked like they were standing still at times when he was running Saturday. He hit 22.5 mph on that 72 yard TD run. For context the fastest NFL speed this season is Brian Thomas Jr. at 22.15 mph. And Richardson's Florida team was 14th in the talent composite with four 5 stars and thirty-nine 4 stars on the roster. They weren't exactly Ball State. I'm not saying Milroe should go in the 1st round. But to say 2nd round at best is laughable.

You clearly have no idea how starved for QB's some of these NFL teams are. Couple that with a relatively weak draft class this season, and he's pretty much guaranteed to be a first round pick.

He's draft eligible.

I get that, I'm just saying it's odd they aren't projecting him to be taken in the first round.

Not like Ricahrdson. He's not 6'4" 235 lbs with sub 4.4. Milroe's 6'2" 225 with around 4.4 to 4.5 40. The NFL does not really care that he has great top end speed. Arch Manning was clocked at 21 MPH on a TD run so who cares?
Florida talent on offense was no where close to what Bama has.

I'm not the only one saying that. In fact, most people, who aren't Milroe's fans or family, are saying that. Check out the links.

You clearly did not read the links posted. Milroe is not a first round pick. If there isn't a top QB available in the draft, don't waste it on Milroe. Wait until he falls to at least 2nd round.

I might remind you all, you guys thought Slade Bolden would get drafted in the mid round. LOL!

The fact that you point to some mid-season mock drafts (one of which still has him in the first round ) as proof of anything says a lot. Where did those same guys have Carson Beck only a few weeks ago? These guys are educated guessers at best, and are usually way off.

Not sure who predicted that, or what relevance it has to a QB being taken in the first round.

That superfans have clouded judgement.

I predict he goes Round 2. We will see.

Milroe is the type of QB who could go in the top 5 or fall into the 2nd day. It really just depends on who needs a QB and their preferences. He's not a sure thing but the arm and legs will have people thinking he could be their Josh Allen.

Did you even read the links you provided?

GRADE: 7.99 (Potential Impact Player — 2nd Round)

OVERALL RANK: 22

POSITION RANK: QB4

He may have given him a 2nd round grade but having him ranked 22 overall still indicates a 1st round pick. Cuz you know there's 32 teams.

Our latest expert two-round 2025 NFL mock draft has Milroe sliding in the first-round but lands in Pittsburgh.

And this one has him going to Pittsburgh at the 27th pick in the 1st round. You literally linked an article that has him being taken in the 1st round to try to prove he's a 2nd round pick at best. Impressive.

Right. It depends on his interviews, wonderlic, play situation answers.
He has plenty a film to show that his passing game has a long, long way to go for an effective NFL QB.

I misread that as slipping to 2nd round.
Basically the premise is he’s a second round pick at best but teams are desperate for a QB. Great!

They essentially have the same player as Jalen Milroe in Justin Fields: great runner, big arm, not great at throwing over the middle third of the field short to medium.

Of course this is the NFL so you have to factor if they can have Milroe cheaper at that draft spot than Fields entering or near a second contract.
