Very tall and has 3 point range. Whether he can contribute at the high major level will come down to his conditioning and better his overall coordination getting up and down the floor.

Weatherspoon to Miss St. No surprise but the dominos are falling rapidly. Hope one falls for us soon.

Alabama men's basketball is wrapping up arguably its biggest weekend of recruiting in recent memory.
One of the marquee visitors was five-star small forward Troy Brown of Las Vegas (Nev.) Centennial.
Since earning an offer from the Crimson Tide last December, Alabama has remained in contention for the elite forward, most recently making his final eight.
"It was a great visit overall," Brown told BamaOnLine. "Really enjoyed the feel of Alabama this weekend."
Brown took in a lot of the campus and basketball program, but it was one thing in particular that impressed him the most.
"I would say the new training facility that Coach (Avery) Johnson has put together," he said.
Both Brown and Johnson had the chance to talk more in-depth during the trip.
"He just talked to me about his experience in the league and how he can help develop me into an NBA player," Brown said. "And (about) just having a good time in college."
Brown had the chance to take in a Crimson Tide football game, and even got to meet head coach Nick Saban.
"It was a great atmosphere," Brown said. "I really in enjoyed it."
The 6-foot-7, 210-pound Brown has already taken another official visit to Ohio State, and still has Oregon (Sept. 23), Kansas (Sept. 30) and Georgetown (Oct. 5) trips set. The plan after the visits is to make a commitment in November, which will be made out of his final eight of Alabama, Arizona, Cal, Georgetown, Kansas, Ohio State, Oregon and UNLV.
"(Alabama is) Still in good consideration," Brown said. "I would say I grew more comfortable with the program being down here."
Brown is rated the No. 3 small forward and the No. 13 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.

I don't think you're supposed to link the whole article since it was VIP. It's best to just summarize.

It wasn't VIP today for some reason. I don't have a subscription and I was able to read it. Is posting the article not allowed or something?
Posted on 9/11/16 at 12:31 pm to Bamafan15
Only if it's non VIP, I just assumed it was.

It said VIP and when u click on the link to the article it's VIP, but then they posted the whole article for free in the comments. Not sure if they did that on purpose or not.

They probably didn't. Lol

Coach Avery is having an in-home visit today with 4-Star Alex Reese. We are less than 2 months away from Signing Day, and like a poster said before, the "domino's are starting to fall" around basketball recruiting. I'd love a commit today from Reese. Post any news/updates/interviews about this visit if you hear anything.

Rayshaun Hammonds apparently posted a list of his official visits and we were included, then he deleted the list.

Not a lot to say. Brown had a nice time but the chances of him signing with us are low. Sexton's visit was his 9th time on campus. He's very comfortable with us and I believe we'll sign him but look out for Kansas if Brown goes there.
If I had to predict our class I'd go; Sexton, Petty, Hammonds and Reese.
I also believe we'll turn up our recruitment of the post from MS (name escapes me). FWIW Garza cancelled his OV last week.

We just had the biggest recruiting weekend in years for basketball and there's no info to be found on BOL. Only one post asking if there's any news and no one responds. I understand there's not as much info to give out with basketball but I always find articles on other sites with little interviews and updates on players that were recruiting and that's the only place u see them. Do they just not have access to this type of info or they just want to focus on football?

There is nothing new today, but you posted their Troy Brown update from yesterday a few posts up. They released an update on Hammonds setting visits, which I realize can be found on Twitter. I'm sure Hank is trying to track down Sexton. It isn't for lack of effort.. I remember when Petty visited recently and Hank mentioned that he kept trying to get an update from his camp but no one would talk to him. He is still trying to establish inroads into a scene that most people didn't used to care about during football season. And all basketball news is 100% him, which sucks for us. Not defending BOL, just Hank. The thing I hate most is that BOL always puts their newest no-name guy with the least connections on basketball recruiting.
