The one game I'll never forget good or bad... is Alabama v Minnesota this year.

One of my favorite games was actually a loss. Loyola Marymount

Yep...remember it well.

We would hold up on our fast break opportunities just to take them out of their normal game.

Let me guess u people wanted and expected the final 4 this year...I wasn't even that unrealistic. I love how people assume what others think lol... Laughable. Avery does have supporters and there are countless people who haven't given up on him yet. Basketball isn't football, he had a shite roster his first 2 years and most realistic people know that.

I expected to comfortably make the tournament. Not have to scrape in.

As far as him having a shite roster. He should have realized that and not put the 3 year number on his back. Why are we responsible for something he said. He also hyped the fans up on easily making the tournament this year before the season. If someone sets the expectations then that person should expect the blow back.

No, I didn't. I expected what he promised: the tournament. And we had a bid all but locked up 3 frigging weeks ago. Nobody is complaining about the roster, they are complaining about the coaching. Big difference.

We ve beaten more ranked teams this year than we ever have , and a few of those had coaches with final 4s on their resume'. What coach outside of cal gets results instantly with freshmen? I support the program but everything has become I want it know this second. If Byrne fires him now what message does that send to the team? Do we have a mass exodus of transfers? Change for change sake can be bad sometimes. I'm not saying anyone is wrong or doesn't have valid points or being condescending, just being pragmatic.

If kids want to transfer let em. If we can get a better coach then why should we let players hold us hostage?

And we d be back to square 1. A better coach ...Whoever that would be right now, still needs players.

Coaches rarely need to motivate teams to play in the big games. Motivating your team to play with max energy against the teams you should beat takes a coach.

Brah, my last 5 posts in this thread were:

1.) Calling Cobra a bandwagon fan.
2.) Talking about infesting my crotch with fleas for criticism for Avery's money.
3.) Nerds in Buttholes
4.) Butch Jones taking criticism to gain a promotion as analyst on Alabama's football team.
5.) Arkansas win would probably be more helpful.

I don't think I am assuming anything really.

Being back at square one is pure speculation on your part and so is the part about transfers.

If a group of players threaten to transfer this year unless Avery is fired, I bet you would want to let them go.

Didn't say it would happen, wasn't speculating on anything. Hell there are people who think calipari is an overrated coach but his talent makes up for it. Duke fans wanted K gone after year 4...Just saying .

Coach K?? He took the job in 1980. My gosh, the atmosphere of sports has changed a lot since then. What the hell

Coach K made the tourney in his 4th year. I doubt anyone was calling for his head

Ive got one more hole to poke in the youth excuse. It’s true, we are one of the youngest teams in college basketball. But aside from the fact that they’ve had almost an entire season under their belts now, why are we so young? This is year 3. Where are his first 2 classes? Where are the juniors and redshirt sophomores? It’s not like we told him he couldn’t recruit until last year. Again, it’s back on Avery. If we have no experience, no upperclassmen, it’s because his first two classes have almost all washed out.

This is his first full class. He's had to remake the roster from the shite show that he inherited. Again I'm not saying the concern isn't valid but let's be intellectually honest here.

He is the one that put the year 3 on his back. If anyone is a dumbass, it's Avery. I understand the roster wasn't good, but Avery thought he could do it and said as much. Fans aren't being unrealistic, he is the one that has put the target up

Should I assume your categorization as fans who are critical of Avery as bandwagon fans and jackasses is rescinded? Since we are being intellectually honest?
