saw some of the game and heard nothing at a restaurant. So did they say why Smith started. Looks like Coach was sending a message. Saw where Jr. minutes were slim. We will need minutes tomorrow from our guard play as AU starts 3 guards and will run. If we could outrun them we could wear them down. They only have 8 on scholarship

Running would play right into their hands. We tried that at AU and got blown out. We need to slow it down, make them play defense, and feed the post.

Disagree that Avery didn't do anything, he actually took some ballhandling off of Sexton and we also got more aggressive defensively with on-ball pressure, less switching .

The Barn wants a track meet! They want as many touches/shots as possible. The best way to attack them is to do what we did when we played them the first time. Be patient and methodical and pound it inside. It would also help if Petty got just a little luke warm.

It's how you go about wearing them down. Making them play 25 seconds of defense and using energy is much better than us flying around and turning the ball over which leads them to having wide open 3s.

I agree with this. The more they have to wrestle with our bigs down low, the better it is for us. Gotta get them in foul trouble.

Did he really say this?

If so...sad

Petty has been MIA for a long time. And while it would be awesome to see him go off tomorrow. It's at the bottom of things as far as percentages IMO

I've not been a huge supporter of JR (he played much better last year. Not sure why the regression) but he gets a lot of individual hate and has handled it really well. So I salute the dude in that regard. Just wish he could get the floater game and finishing skills he had last year to show up again.

Some folks around here need to grow up. Johnson's our coach and deserves the support of REAL Alabama fans...and Jr's got a point!

I consider myself a real Bama fan. I hope Avery works out, and I am one of the ones that still has doubts

Everyone has the right to bitch. Sunshine pumpers are worse for the program than people who speak their mind.

those are going to be four really good SEC games tomorrow. It's good for the conference.

How much will be forgiven if we kick their arse?

I hope we win and I know we have the talent to win, but I won't forgive anything

Jr needs to quit worrying about what fans of every team do...complain after any loss.

His dad/coach should tell him to not engage fans, nor call them out.

Bama basketball has bandwagon fans? I dont think so.

If Jr is getting his feeling hurt or has a problem with criticism, then life is going to be tough for him.

Notre Dame and Marquette getting killed helps us. MTSU losing may really hurt us though.
