I think we would get more production if he would attack the rim on something other than fast breaks.

But to his credit, the effort has been consistent the last couple of weeks. He's been hot and cold shooting, but he made some phenomenal passes in the State game, and the defensive effort has been strong. Avery kicked him out of practice the Monday before South Carolina for his attitude, and it clearly got his attention. He's been a much better team player ever since.

I like our team moving forward assuming no one up and leaves other than Sexton. The problem will be if Petty needs the cash, so he bails early when he would probably get drafted higher with another year. Hall could leave too. I don't know what goes through Key's mind, but he has no NBA shot atm.

That's just my opinion based on what we saw with him and Goff. Granted, Goff may be a bit of an anomaly because he was a jackass, but I wouldn't be shocked to see him pull the trigger if we struggle next season. He's been around a quality basketball program and wants to build one here.

I like Petty as a player. I'm just pointing out that he's very much up and down. I think he could make a big leap from freshman to sophomore year because all he has to do is be more consistent.

I agree. He's slowly getting better, and he's shown flashes, but he just hasn't seemed to get his feet under him this year. The best thing he has going for him right now is not many 6'8" guys with his thickness can move that smooth. But he's definitely got to improve on his skill set if he wants to play at the next level.

Agree. He adds an intermediate and slash game to his shooting and he's a legitimate NBA wing player.
