Young is really good, but if u watch he doesn't really lock in defensively...That's y I love sexton because he dsnt take plays off and I know he ll be ready for the challenge of young. It would be good though to run herb at young to throw him off though, especially with herb's wingspan.

Trae Young has started to look human lately. He’s struggled in a couple games and had 12 turnovers in their last loss. If we put Herb on Young, we might can beat them.

I think this team has the talent to at least be a "pick'em" at home against almost anyone with Sexton/Hall back and no other starters injured.

Hopefully the AU game without Sexton will give players a bit more confidence on the offensive end.

Just need Key to start hitting a few shots and finishing chances in the lane. He adds a lot even if he's not scoring but need his points for the team to reach a real Sweet 16 type threshold --especially since he turns the ball over in bad spots a few times per game. .

Herb Jones, by the way, is going to be many Alabama fans favorite player ever when he's done.

Bingo on that entire post. Seems like everyone is finding the role that best suits them and the team. Key gets alot of crap but he's doing alot of little things that win games... Hopefully he can start hitting at least 10pts a night soon. Ingram and herb are both filling up stat sheets. Petty is defending better from what I see, just wish he'd attack the paint and rim occasionally. A guy mentioned on Twitter last night how engaged sexton was into the game , as much as if he were playing. That speaks to who he is I think.

I want Sexton on him the entire time he's in. Sexton is a showman. The better the player he matches up with, the better player offensively and defensively that he becomes. I think Trae Young has had the better year thus far, but you put the 2 in a matchup and I'll take Sexton everytime. He just doesn't lose an individual matchup against star PGs. It's kind of his MO. I hope he let's lose and gets inside Young's head.

I agree as long as he doesn't get tickytack bs fouls. Young has had the better year but he takes over 20 shots a game ...Whereas Collin takes I'm guessing around 13, and I think his 20 a game is more efficient. You're also 100% right about him winning head to head matchups, he got the best of everyone he's ever gone against.

Young actually takes slightly under 20 shots a game and has been just as efficient if not more considering over half of those attempts are from deep. Offensively, there's no question that Young has been the better player thus far. The one edge Sexton has offensively, is the fact that he can take games completely over late in the game, whereas Young distributes his points evenly throughout the game. If you need a bucket late in the game Sexton is the guy you'd pick between the 2. You replace Sexton with Young for the last 10 minutes against Minnesota, we'd probably get blown out (and who could blame them). Defensively is where there's a huge advantage for Sexton. He is a MUCH better defender, and why I still think he goes higher in the draft.

I agree and I think the scouts see the extra qualities sexton has. I was certain young takes 20-23 shots a game but I guess I stand corrected.sexton is shooting abt 45% from field, 37% from 3 and 80% from the line...Which are all good numbers compared to and in some cases better than past freshman 1and done guards.

Did you watch his interview the other day? He talked about having a 4.0 gpa and being a leader off the court and in the class room. I was impressed for a predicted one and done.

I need to watch that interview...With Andy Katz right?. If u follow his story he doesn't do social media either. Comes from a great family, by that I mean 2 college educated siblings and great parents. Was laughing at the barners last night as I read some of the itat thread. Shite like "sexton is a me player, primadonna... Etc". The LSU fans last sat were even worse. It's funny how people confuse thug with competitive and gamesmanship with punk... Laughable. I knew he'd get in other fanbase's heads sooner or later.

Collin is a very good person off the court. He’s just very, very competitive during games and can go a little overboard at times, which I’m fine with lol.

Yeah and from his sister and brother's Twitter u can tell they reign him in now and then. Some idiot barner said on the rant a few weeks ago that he "knows someone close to the program that says sexton doesn't hang out with the guys off the court other than team functions". Lol just had to laugh... Amazing how low people stoop.

Well I’ve actually heard rumors myself that he doesn’t really hang with the players off the court. But that doesn’t mean he has a problem with them. He’s always in the gym practicing and doesn’t even have social media. He’s the type of person that probably doesn’t like hanging out much. Just wants to focus on ball and become a top 10 nba draft pick. I don’t blame him.

Makes sense...If u saw the young bbull episodes on hoop diamonds he and petty seemed tight during the Jordan brand classic week, but like u said he's probably just focused. I knew he doesn't do Twitter or anything ...His brother is in charge of his account.

It would be just our RPI luck to watch Auburn fall off a friggin cliff for the rest of the season.

(not that I wouldn't be completely opposed)

I don't think the barn will go in the tank...They're pretty solid. The league is so stout that every game pretty much is a chance for a quality win.

Yeah I don’t see Auburn falling off either. I think they’ll finish top 4 in the conference

I still think a&m is gonna get it together. Rhode island, the barn, and the Aggies are our main wins...And BYU and Memphis are quietly looking good as well. Our SOS is 6th in nation so we just gotta protect home court and steal a couple more on road.
