Is it too much to want to go to the tournament once every three years? frick, I'm not asking for much here. If we wanted a shite product, we could have kept Grant

That's the damn thing- I want us to at least be in contention every year and only miss it once out of every 3 years. There's literally no fricking excuse Alabama shouldn't be a good basketball program. Nothing.

I've went from hoping we would get our first NCAA tournament win since '06, to now wondering if we'll even make the fricking tournament.

Absolutely pathetic. Even worse is we'll all still watch every single minute of every single game for the rest of the season in agonizing pain.

It's pretty incredible how bad we've been since Gottfried quit working.

Maybe Thad Matta will hold off on coaching...

Sorry man, this team stinks.

Had no idea 3 Texas A&M players were suspended.

Watch us win that game and all the sunshine pumpers come out and say "SEE! TOLD YOU GUYS WE'RE STILL GOOD!!!"

This team literally can't put together 5 good offense defense offense possessions in a row. Fvck.

He'll have to hold off awhile because I'd be surprised if Avery doesn't have 2 more seasons after this one.

The most frustrating thing is that if this bunch did little things half as well as the last 2 teams we'd be fine.

I know the makeup of the roster is different and young but for frick sake, so is half of college basketball.

The "young roster" is an easy excuse. We have guys who have been around for years and look lost. We don't know how to game plan. Just playing street ball while the other team is running plays

Stolen from Cecil Hurt (so get off me, sunshine pumpers):

Bama’s pre-conference summary - Two home losses. Best win vs. Rhode Island. 0-3 vs P5

That's what I hate. In the scenario Avery doesn't turn it around, we're still stuck with it, even when the obvious is right in front of our face. All while a solid coach for this program like Matta will go to another program and likely turn it around. Watch UGA snag a good coach after this season.

Byrne seems like he doesn't frick around with stuff like this though, so that'd good news. Even better news is he'll be the one out looking for a new coach, and not Battle.

The most disappointing players are the older guys. Sexton gets lost on D, Petty heat checks too much, Herbert hand checks too much. Those are excusable freshmen mistakes. Dazon constantly stopping the ball, Riley bricking everything, AJ Jr shooting everything. Those aren't excusable for upperclassmen.

Yeah I'd be surprised if Avery is able to get top recruits like Watford moving forward, but if we fire him, we have zero shot at Watford. It took Frank Martin five years to make the tournament at SCAR. Hopefully Avery can pull off that magic here because it won't be this year. Probably not the next either.

Martin was a proven college coach.

Last 2 seasons Gottfried was awful.

Before that we were frustrating but better than anything since. Those last few years were really really awful.
