I'm going to start RA'ing if this continues to go on in this thread.
Posted on 7/23/12 at 5:26 pm to CrimsonFever

My last post on the matter.
It's not just the pics of money, Clemson aren't even a top 50 program historically, there is no reason for then to be in on the top out of state recruits every year, Dabo Swinney isn't THAT great of a recruiter.

I agree that there are suspicious actions taking place with Clemson (so do most in the industry). It doesn't help matters when their recruits are photographed with wads of cash. That said, there are a few things you're wrong about:

Clemson is a top 30 program historically.

there is no reason for then to be in on the top out of state recruits every year
They can pitch playing time, a great campus, a big 4 conference, BCS bowl games, etc.

Dabo is an incredible recruiter. Don't kid yourself. If he loses his head coaching job, there will be a line of schools offering him jobs on staff if for no other reason than his recruiting ability.

Dabo played a big part in Alabama's recruiting success from 1998-2000.

Just RA'd this entire conversation. Take it to the SECrant. I'm tired of UGA and Auburn fans derailing this thread and Bama fans being suckered in.
You want to discuss garbage? Do it in another thread or in the SECr. Not here. It's not difficult.

If you are a kid in the south, the big 4 conferences are: SEC, Big 12, Big 10, and ACC.
Don't give me that Pac-12 stuff. There is one or two schools out there kids consider. In the ACC kids in the south consider Clemson, Miami, FSU, UNC, etc. That's what I meant. Nationally, ACC is not one of the top 4 that come to mind. Among 16-18 year olds in the south it absolutely is.

Dabo is a good recruiter no doubt, but I don't think he's good enough to be legally recruiting as well as he is at Clemson. If he was at Oklahoma I could understand, but Clemson?

I thought you meant nationally. My bad.

Sarah Hughes?@SarahMHughes87 According to @ChadSimmons_, #Alabama leads for 5* RB Derrick Green.
Maybe he wants to be our 6th rb in this class?

I'm thinking they meant Henry?
Posted on 7/23/12 at 5:59 pm to CrimsonFever
Yeah Green isn't even a 5* on Scout. And Auburn either leads or is a co-leader

IDK Green did visit recently and seemed to really love the visit, I doubt it's a typo.
