Ole Miss standout defensive lineman JJ Pegues will be returning for another season in Oxford, he announced on Twitter this week. Per SDS:

Pegues boosted his defensive numbers in his second season with the Rebels. He recorded 40 tackles, including 8 for loss with 3.5 sacks, along with 2 pass deflections, helping the Rebels get to 10 wins before the bowl game. The 6-2, 215-pound Pegues also takes occasional snaps on offense.

Last season, Pegues had 26 tackles, 5 TFL with 3 sacks and 2 passes defended in 12 games. He also had a receiving touchdown.
