Ole Miss safety C.J. Moore will likely miss the rest of the season as he recovers from a torn pectoral muscle. Co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach Jason Jones said Tuesday that the timetable for his recovery will be four-to-five months. Per The Clarion Ledger:

Ole Miss coach Matt Luke originally estimated Moore would be out at least a couple weeks, if not indefinitely. That was on Monday, when Luke said they were still getting opinions from medical professionals.

With Moore out for the remainder of the season, Ole Miss moved running backs Armani Linton and Tylan Knight to defense. Linton, a junior, played safety for the Rebels before switching to running back this season.
Sophomore safety C.J. Miller took the first-team snaps in place of Moore on Tuesday.
