The NHL's Atlanta Thrashers have been sold to a group that will move the team to Winnipeg next season. This is the second time Atlanta has lost an NHL team, first the Flames left for Calgary and now the Thrashers. One of the team's young stars Evander Kane Tweeted...
quote:

"I want to thank all the Thrashers fans that supported us in Atlanta for my two years there. Very unfortunate there will be no NHL hockey,"... "I will miss the great people and city of Atlanta."
This should work well for the Thrashers, I hear Canada likes hockey.

Yeah, but Winnipeg has lost a team in the past as well. Just because it's in Canada doesn't guarantee success.
