Video Shows How Saints Ran At Fletcher Cox On Fake Punt Because He Takes Plays Off
© John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports
As you recall in the second quarter last weekend, the Saints ran a fake punt and gave Taysom Hill the ball up the middle for a first down. The only reason they ran that play from their own 30-yard-line was because they noticed that Eagles DT Fletcher Cox took plays off, especially on punts...

Gotta appreciate that kind of film study.

Hard to tell if he took the play off or not in the Saints game since he was triple teamed. He definitely took them off in the Bears game, though.

doesn’t matter how aggressive the defender is, if you send 3 guys to block him you should be successful

He's a great player. Peyton's also a great coach. Helluva find. Don't take plays off.

So far, it looks like they're defending him saying the Saints put 3 Olinemen at him. "He wouldn't have won anyway" lol ok.
