After announcing he's leaving NBC on Sunday, former Saints star QB Drew Brees admitted that he doesn't know what he'll do next and left the door open for many things, including football... And now the sports writers and takes run amuck. Per The Spun...
quote:

If Brees does come back, which teams make sense? There's one team getting mentioned the most: Carolina.

“Even if they [Saints] wanted Brees to return, and I have no indication they would, would they want to mortgage the future again to get him back?” Peter King writes.

“As for other teams, the Seahawks might fit despite their talking-up of Drew Lock, and the Panthers could be just desperate enough to make a run at Brees. But we’re getting way ahead of ourselves. Would any team want a 43-year-old Brees, who’d have to rehab after left shoulder surgery? And was Brees just throwing out a misdirection play with his tweets?”

Might be some truth to the Seattle rumor. I heard Brittany was looking at home in the CHAZ zone.

Interesting interpretation. That’s 50% accurate.

His arm is nowhere near where it used to be. That was clear in his final few years in NOLA. Spend some time with your family Drew. You’ve made enough money to last 10 lifetimes.

Brees may have had surgery, rehab, and whatever magic elixir Brady has been consuming.
