“UAB’s top priority remains the safety and well-being of all of our students,” the school said in a statement, via ESPN.
The two UAB players who were allegedly stabbed were taken to the hospital and are in stable condition. As for the suspect, he’s been identified as UAB offensive lineman Daniel Mincey.
According to the Jefferson County jail records, Mincey has been charged with aggravated assault and attempted murder.
