13-Year-Old Ump In Youth Baseball Brawl Gets VIP Treatment At Rockies Game

Back in mid June a crazy parents brawl broke out at Westgate Elementary School in Lakewood, Colorado during a little league game after a parent didn't like the calls being made by a 13-year-old umpire. Well, MLB ump Chris Guccione sided with the 13-year-old ump, named Josh Cordova, and gave him and his family the VIP treatment this past Sunday when the Rockies played the Dodgers...

"I thought it was a perfect opportunity to reach out to Josh, and not only to him, but his family, and to say to him, 'I'm proud of you, and I'm rooting for you, and what you did is the right thing,'" Guccione told reporters before the game.

"I'm super happy for him, and I wanted to encourage him to keep going forward."

As for Josh, he seemed to love the experience, and said, "I'm very appreciative for everyone that's reached out to me."
