National Signing Day (Wednesday, February 4) is the first day a high school senior can sign a binding National Letter of Intent for college football. Les Miles and the LSU Football team has received verbal commitments from 21 players thus far, giving them the top ranked class according to several recruiting publications.

In other LSU Recruiting news, NewOrleans.Com Sports is reporting that Destrehan blue-chip defensive lineman Darrington Sentimore has decided to de-commit from Alabama to attend LSU.

In LSU Basketball news, the men's team improved its record to 17-4 (5-1 in SEC) with a 79-69 victory at home over Arkansas. Saturday's game was designated as the celebration of 100 years of LSU Basketball and over 125 former layers were in attendance. LSU's All-Century Team was announced at halftime:

Several TD.com users were disappointed that some players were included on the list and others were omitted.

The Tigers return to action on Wednesday at Georgia. Tip-off in Stegeman Coliseum is at 6:30pm CT. The Bulldogs are winless in the SEC (0-6) and are 9-12 overall.

In LSU Baseball news, the top-ranked LSU baseball team held its first full-squad practice Sunday, practicing for the final time in the original Alex Box Stadium. LSU will have an off day on Monday, and will practice at the New Alex Box Stadium for the first time on Tuesday.

The Tigers play their season opener in the new stadium on February 20 against Villanova at 7pm CT.
