LSU Drops Series vs. Ole Miss With Blowout Loss In Game 2, 12-2

OXFORD – LSU Baseball fell to Ole Miss, 2-12, Saturday afternoon at Oxford-University Stadium, Swayze Field.

LSU moves to 22-14 overall and 6-8 in the SEC. Ole Miss moves to 25-11 overall and 7-7 in the SEC.

The Tigers will be back at Swayze Field for game three of the series Sunday, April 12th, at 1:30 p.m. CT. The game will be streamed on SECN+ and available on the LSU Sports Radio Network.

William Schmidt earned the loss with three and two thirds innings pitched, seven strikeouts, four walks, three hits, and four runs allowed.

Phew! Seems Johnson can’t handle a team after a NC. They crashed in ‘24 but still slightly recovered but this year they crashed & burned & it looks like they might not even make the playoffs.
It became evident after losses to Sacramento St & McNeese State but became a REAL cause of concern after the loss to Bethune-Cookman

I’ve been saying this for 2 months and getting downvoted into oblivion. Anyone that has played D1 baseball can clearly tell that this teams has some GAPING holes with 2 guys that can put the ball in play on a consistent basis. Now they are losing recruits…….no bueno
