This marks a return to Louisiana for Olsen, a North Dakota native who has coached at three other schools within the state. He had stints at Nicholls and ULM, then spent four years at Northwestern State from 2017-20.
Olsen held multiple titles during his time with the Demons. He coached linebackers and became the recruiting coordinator. He later oversaw the safeties and was named special teams coordinator. After one year at LSU, Olsen went with Baker to Missouri.
