LSU junior wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase and sophomore cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. were both named to the Maxwell Award watch list on Friday.
The Maxwell Award is presented annually to the College Player of the Year.
Former LSU quarterback Joe Burrow took home the honor last year.
