ESPN's Harry Lyles Jr. picked LSU transfer wide receiver Barion Brown as his "Sleeper Players For College Football's Top 25 Teams In 2025."

Here's what he had to say about Brown:
quote:

6. LSU Tigers
Sleeper: WR Barion Brown

If you're familiar with Brown from his high school days, you may not consider him a sleeper. But the Kentucky transfer could finally reach his full potential in Baton Rouge. After a standout freshman season in Lexington, he never made the big statistical leaps many expected. But with Garrett Nussmeier at quarterback and other talent at receiver (Aaron Anderson, Oklahoma transfer Nic Anderson) and tight end (Trey'Dez Green, Oklahoma transfer Bauer Sharp), perhaps Brown can break out in 2025. -- Harry Lyles Jr.

Can’t wait to see what this LSU offense can produce. They better utilize this talent. Put these guys on the field and let them run, like 2019. Feed all of them, get them on and off the field quickly and feed them all. Need to see lots of those draw plays from QB and RB. Quick screens out the backfield to the RB, motions from one side to the other and adding a WR to the backfield. This is a very similar roster to the 2019 offense IMO. It can be ran almost exactly the same. I love those bunch formations where they simply stutter their feet in one place and then take off in opposite directions. So hard to defend that and gives time to set up blocks for the WR who gets the ball. They have to utilize the TEs this year in the RZ and short yardage. Had we designed an offense during the season like we saw in the bowl game, we win at least one (1) more game possibly two (2) more games. Also need to be practicing plays designed for the QB to hit the open holes in a defense when they open up. Doesn’t matter if you get 5 years from it when you could have gotten 20 throwing a tight ball. Get that 5 yards and make that defense cover the entire field. It puts so much more pressure on a defense when they know you will take those easy yards because they will give it to you and it will slow that defense down in coverage. It’s just human nature. I hope they implement all these attacks in the offense this year. Can’t worry about injuries, just go after it.
