In LSU's 34-17 win over UCLA last week, quarterback Garrett Nussmeier passed for 352 yards and three touchdowns, spreading the ball to nine different players.

On Monday, head coach Brian Kelly discussed LSU's "comprehensive" passing game, which is difficult for teams to defend.

He also commented on wide receiver Chris Hilton, who will hopefully return this week and add a vertical threat to the offense.
quote:

"It's the nature of our offensive structure in terms of what we have done and how we have done it," Kelly said.

"Last year, we had an alpha and BT as well. This year, it can go to anybody. And now you add the tight end into the mix as the leading receiver right now. It's very difficult to defend us. The backs are catching it for touchdowns, the tight ends, and the receivers. It's a pretty comprehensive passing game."

"We need Chris Hilton back, and this seems to be the week we get him back healthy. If we can add that vertical passing game, that's another element that makes it even better."
