LSU defensive lineman Bernard Gooden suffered a collarbone injury against South Carolina, head coach Brian Kelly revealed Saturday.
quote:

"It's a bruised collarbone," Kelly said. "It's very sore right now. But clean, no break. This is a short-term thing and one where he will have to manage the pain, relative to how we go through the week."
Gooden, a 5th-year senior from Montgomery, Ala., transferred to LSU from South Florida in the offseason.

He has played in every game this season, registering 13 total tackles, three tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks, and one forced fumble.

He and Delanie are our best players. I wish we had him for another year.

A bruise. Put a pad with a hole in it over the tender spot and go beat Vandy.
