Head coach Ed Orgeron and new defensive line coach Dennis Johnson were in Ferriday, LA on Wednesday night and visited 4-star LSU defensive tackle commit Dare Rosenthal.

Rosenthal, a one-time Alabama commit, gave his verbal pledge to LSU back in June.

The 6-7, 325-pounder chose the Tigers over offers from schools like Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and others.

Rosenthal played both offensive tackle and defensive tackle in high school.

About same size as the Late great Marquise Hill. Would love for him to pan out in similar fashion.

Dare, thank you for staying committed to LSU and not flaking out like other kids. You are showing you are a man and not a boy. GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Don't care where he plays, as long as it's for LSU.

I agree that his size screams OT, and making that switch will get him millions on Sundays, but have y’all seen film of him playing DL? The guy is vicious and damn quick. He runs close to a 5 flat, which is insane for his size. Two years of work at LSU and he’s going to get quicker and stronger. I’ll let the coaches decide where they want to put him. Great kid, btw. He spent two years in my classroom and is pretty sharp
