Elite four-star wide receiver Devonta Smith from Amite, LA will be announcing his college decision on National Signing Day at 2pm CT. Per 247Sports:
quote:

There's been a change of plans in announcement times for Devonta Smith. Instead of revealing his college decision at 9 a.m. CT on National Signing Day, his head coach Zephaniah Powell tells BamaOnLine he will announce at 2 p.m. CT.

The Amite (La.) missed his official visit to Miami over the weekend due to a basketball game. Alabama, Florida State and LSU each got the Top100 receiver on campus in the month of January.
The 6-1, 160-pound prospect from Amite HS is rated the No. 3 wide receiver in the country and the No. 1 overall player from the state of Louisiana for the class of 2017, according to 247Sports.

Many believe Smith is leaning towards Alabama with LSU having an outside chance in landing the talented wide receiver.

I think he goes out of state. As Tigerfan232 said: We have a full compliment of WR at our disposal. So again, probably wouldn't get much PT. Good luck!

We are absolutely loaded at WR. If he doesn't want to compete then go hang with the Gumps. Rest assured you will not play a lick of downs for two years going there. Here you can actually make something of yourself!

Why be a gump, be apart of YOUR home state to beat that gump arse. Be apart of something great close to your home. Last I checked there are more ex TIgers in the NFL than gumps. Come on be a TIGER.
