Four-star wide receiver Devonta Jason from New Orleans announced Wednesday morning that he has committed to Mississippi State.

Jason was originally committed to LSU but switched his verbal pledge to Kansas and is now headed to Starkville for this college career, choosing the Bulldogs over LSU.

The 6-3, 185-pound prospect from Landry Walker HS is rated the No. 6 wide receiver in the country and the No. 2 overall player from the state of Louisiana, according to Rivals.

Well they needed him but can still try and get another big time wr* need probably 2 other rb's, a QB, an a couple DB/CB for sure, how does LSU stand on a punter for next season? Definitely need a standout punter, haven't seen spectacular punts for 2017 season. Signed a field goal kicker

Man we lost another talented WR to a rival in as many years last year we lost another WR named Devonta as in Devonta Smith to Alabama. Now we still have the big fish out there in WR Terrace Marshall getting him will make this nothing to LSU and we still have a real solid chance to get the third WR name Devonta as in 2019 5* WR Devonta Lee from Amite we just can't keep losing these talented WR's to our rivals. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!PURPLEREIGN??????????

This is great news. He will be useless there and we won't have to worry about him at a rival
