Four-Star CB Chad Clay Names LSU His No. 1 School

Four-star 2016 cornerback Chad Clay from Suwanee, GA (Peachtree Ridge) announced his top four schools on Friday night and LSU was No. 1.

His father, Willie Clay has a long-standing relationship with LSU defensive backs coach Corey Raymond from when they played in the NFL together, according to NOLA.com:

"It helps a lot that they've been buddies for a long time," Clay said about Raymond and his father Willie Clay, who played with Raymond in the NFL. "There is a lot of trust there. With me being all the way in Atlanta, there's a level of trust there with Coach (Les) Miles and Coach (Corey) Raymond that makes my dad comfortable."

The 6-0, 177-pound prospect said that he should announce his decision in the summertime and would like to graduate and enroll early at whatever school that he picks.

Clay is rated as the 17th best player in the state of Georgia and 18th best cornerback in the country according to 247Sports.
