Prized five-star LSU running back commit John Emery from Destrehan, LA suffered a lower leg injury during the first half of Destrehan-Zachary semifinal playoff game on Friday night and sat out the second half as a precaution.

Emery had 16 carries for 107 yards, and two touchdowns before exiting the game. Zachary ended up winning 67-57.

Emery sent out the following Tweet on Friday night after the game:

Emery committed to LSU less than a month ago on Nov. 13. He is rated the No. 1 running back in the country, according to ESPN.

Should have sat out rather than risk injury on meaningless post season games.

But Fambrough reported he had 98 yards on 17 carries. Course, Fambrough is clueless. This Guly will be another all SEC back soon in purple and gold.

Anywhere from the knee down. I Hate to hear this for him. Leg injuries don’t always heal, an injury now would cripple his scholarship chances, and injuries now may mean a further injury later in career. T&P

Jesus Golden Boy calm the Fuk it was an injury to the leg it happens in football I’ve heard. It’s not like they called in the choppers to rush him to the hospital to save his leg.
