The NCAA announced the 15 nominees for men's basketball coach of the year on Wednesday and noticeably missing from the list was LSU coach Will Wade.
Wade, who is in his second season at LSU, has guided the Tigers to a 23-5 (13-2 SEC) record, good for a three-way tie at first place in the SEC with wins over No. 5 Kentucky and No. 5 Tennessee in the last couple of weeks.
LSU did not make the NCAA Tournament in 2017-2018 but is projected to be anywhere from a No. 2 - No. 4 seed when the tournament starts this March.
