College Basketball analyst Jerry Palm of CBS Spots unveiled his way-too-early bracket predictions this week and has LSU as a No. 5 seed playing No. 12 seed Northeastern in Hartford.
LSU finished the 2017-2018 season with an 18-15 record (8-10 SEC) and a trip to the NIT. The Tigers add plenty of talent to the 2018-2019 roster with the additions of five-star signees Emmitt Williams and Nazreon Reid and four-star signees Ja’Vonte Smart and Darius Days.
Palm predicts that nine teams will make the tournament: Tennessee, Kentucky, Auburn, Mississippi State, LSU, Florida, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, and Missouri.
His top seeds in the tournament will be Kansas, Duke, Tennessee, and Gonzaga.
