BATON ROUGE – LSU Baseball defeated South Carolina, 6-1, Saturday afternoon at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.
LSU moves to 26-21 overall and 7-15 in the SEC. South Carolina moves to 22-26 overall and 7-15 in the SEC.
The Tigers will be back at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field for game two of the series tonight at 6:30 p.m. CT. The game will be streamed on SECN+ and available on the LSU Sports Radio Network.
William Schmidt earned the win with six innings pitched, seven strikeouts, one walk, five hits, and one run allowed.
