Floyd Ties Career-High 8 Strikeouts In 5-1 Win Over Bethune-Cookman

Per LSU Sports: Sophomore right-hander Ty Floyd recorded a career-high eight strikeouts Saturday, as sixth-ranked LSU posted a 5-1 win over Bethune-Cookman at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.

LSU improved to 12-3 on the year, while Bethune-Cookman dropped to 5-9. The teams meet in Game 3 of the series at 1 p.m. CT Sunday, contest that may be heard on LSU Sports Radio Network affiliates and viewed on SEC Network +.

Floyd (3-1) allowed just one unearned run on two hits in a career-long six innings with two walks and eight strikeouts, tying his career-high total.
