LSU head coach Brian Kelly spoke with reporters over the weekend and provided a brief update on former safety Greg Brooks.

Brooks Jr. had brain surgery in October after he was diagnosed with a rare form a brain cancer. Per On3:
quote:

“We haven’t gotten much information over the last month because of where he is,” Kelly said. “We know he’s in intensive daily rehabilitation. He’s up, walking, doing all those things. Doing all of the occupational rehabilitation. It’s just a slow process. But everything is coming back. It’s just a slow, slow process.”

God Bless him. Glad he was able to represent the purple and gold. Would be awesome if he could suit up for us again.

Would be awesome if he was able to suit up just to run out on the field on senior day if he was able. I would absolutely love that.

I hope LSU does right by him. He has chance finish his college education for free. It would be amazing story if he will return to field.

He could possibly return to school but returning to baseline athleticism, sadly, is not possible with this prognosis. It’s extremely rare to progress to where he is now. Keep up the prayers.
