Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops announced the hire of new defensive back coach Steve Clinkscale on Tuesday. Per UKAthletics.com:

“I am very impressed with Coach Clinkscale’s knowledge and the way he handles himself with players,” said Stoops, who has an extensive history as a defensive backs coach. “He is well-seasoned in terms of experience. Coaches I greatly respect – Coach (Eddie) Gran and Coach (Darin) Hinshaw – who worked with him in Cincinnati speak very highly of him.”
Clinkscale was the secondary coach at Cincinnati over the past three seasons and also served as co-defensive coordinator in 2015.

He will replace Derrick Ansley who left after three season at Kentucky to accept a defensive backs coaching job at Alabama.
