Florida head coach Billy Napier spoke with reporters this week and provided a positive update on quarterback DJ Lagway, who suffered a hamstring injury against Georgia last week. Per ESPN:

Lagway, a true freshman and ESPN's No. 8 overall recruit in the 2024 class, sustained the injury in the first half of Saturday's game against Georgia. He later appeared on crutches along Florida's sideline and with a brace on his left leg. Lagway underwent an MRI over the weekend.

"The good news is we've had positive information on that front," Napier said Monday. "We do think that the injury is less significant and there's path to a recovery and return."

Napier said Lagway's status for the Texas game will become clearer by midweek. Lagway had 47 passing yards and a touchdown, plus 18 rushing yards, as Florida took an early lead against Georgia.
