I want you all to remember what I'm about to say: Masvidal will go on to lose his title shot. Askren will wait for a rematch and punish him. I'm no Askren fan, but that knee was lucky and in no way an indicator that he is a better fighter. Had Masvidal been taking it to Askren for at least a round before this happened, I would give him credit. Anyone who sees it differently just simply doesn't like Askren. Period.

You have no idea about their history, all the garbage Askren had said about him and his family before the fight. And he's a fighter, you keep swinging until the referee tells you to stop or you can't lift your hands.

Askren was retired when Dana finally allowed him in the UFC for being too articulate and outspoken. A shame he got his first career loss on a wild-card move like that.

Askren never fought anyone in his second rate organizations throughout his career where he was the poster child for lay n pray for way more than half his wins. Easily the most over rated fighter in mma and also a very boring fighter who happens to also be a giant douche. He got what was coming his way. He is lucky to have survived against lawler, he needed a horrible decision by a referee to stop a fight when the ref thought lawler tapped out in a position that he was completely safe in, askren then showed his arse by talking like he doninated lawler and was going to dominate everyone. I’ve never been more happy to see someone sprawled out like that.
