ESPN's Paul Finebaum was on "The Matt Barrie Show" on Sunday and talked about the chances of Tulane's Jon Sumrall being the next head coach at Auburn. Per SDS:
quote:

“The betting favorite at Auburn is Jon Sumrall,” Finebaum said on the Matt Barrie Show. “It’s not the hire that wows America. If that ends up being the case, and Matt, we are speculating. I think almost every Auburn fan that I talked to would be thrilled. That job is so much better than I think it is being given credit for.”
Sumrall is in his second season at Tulane, and went 9-5 overall last year and is currently 7-2 this season.

Before his time in New Orleans, Sumrall served as the head coach at Troy for two seasons, compiling a 23-4 overall record.

The 43-year-old head coach is likely going to be a candidate for several open jobs this offseason, including some in the SEC. Where do you think he will end up?

He will end up fired by Auburn in a few short years.

Best gig in CFB. He will get around 5 years at 35 million. Go 4-8 in year and get fired halfway through 2. What a racket.
