Nick Saban's Reaction To Kalen DeBoer's Tough Start At Alabama

On Monday, Nick Saban addressed media members at the Monday Morning Quarterback Club in Birmingham. Speaking as a fan rather than an analyst, the new College GameDay panelist preached patience to fellow Crimson Tide backers about Kalen DeBoer's rough start...
quote:

"The most important thing that all of us can do as fans for Alabama is to be supportive," Saban said per The Next Round. "Support the program, support the players, support the coaches. That will enhance us to be able to have the best solution and transition, because it's always a difficult transition when you have a fairly successful program."

Saban called it a "very challenging" position for DeBoer.

"Stay focused on what you have to do and try to make the team better," Saban said. "I'm not going to get in a position to judge anybody. I'm a fan now. I want the team to do well, and I want our fans to support the team the best they can."

Bama is undisciplined and sloppy. DeBoer seems timid on the sideline, with no fire at all.

He's put a pretty undisciplined brand of football onto the field so far. Bet that's hard for Saban to watch. Hope it's a night game Nov 9 in Tiger Stadium so Kalen can be christened properly!

What exactly does Nick Saban do for the $50,000 a month the University pays him?

$50k per month is chump change in Saban’s and Alabama’s present economic situation.
