Alabama Hires New Defensive Back Coach

Alabama has officially hired Derrick Ansley to be the team new defensive back coach, according to multiple reports.

Ansley was promoted from cornerbacks coach to secondary coach last season at Kentucky, and was recently named co-defensive coordinator. He will replace Mel Tucker who took the defensive coordinator position at Georgia. Per AL.com:

"Derrick did an outstanding job when he was with us as a graduate assistant, and he has a very good understanding of how we run our program and what is expected.
