Corporate country music is a corrupting influence. I'd rather listen to Drive-by Truckers or Jason Isbell.

That Aldean concert at Sanford was just a great time. If that was corruption, then I will volunteer to be corrupted next time UGA does a similar show.

The backlash is funny when people don't like these big shows because the artists are only about the money. Guess what - the concert was put on to make money. Why is it surprising that they chose artists who also want to make money?

When DBT or Jason Isbell play at Sanford, I won't go and then we can reverse our positions.

How is millions of people voluntarily opening their wallets and giving money to Jason Aldean "corrupting"?

It's called capitalism.

So, music snobs are basically commies then. The artists they prefer would have to point a gun at people and demand that they buy their albums through threat of force in order to get millions of people to buy their records like they voluntarily buy Aldean etc records....

Conclusion:
Aldean and co = Freedom
Music Snobs = Socialist psychopaths

Tech gets the Stones, UGA gets a carbon-copy "country" act. All is right with the world

I have no problem with Aldean, I listen to everything from Bob Marley to The Allman Brothers. Hang it in the student center, Stegeman, hell bolt it to the scoreboard in Sanford but get it the frick outta Butts-Mehre.

My dream is for a Widespread Panic/Drive By Truckers bill to play Sanford.

Memorabilia from that show to display at BM would be a hit of blotter framed.

Why does that matter to you? It took place in Sanford. It's not like Butts Mehre is the Smithsonian or something.

I agree with that. It's not like the Texans have Janet Jackson's signed nip cover framed in their front office just because that incident happened in Reliant Stadium.

Agreed. Jason Aldean's guitar that probably wasn't even plugged in during the concert has no business being in the same room as walkers heisman and our championship trophy, plus everything else.

fricking depressing enough that he was the first concert at Sanford

So, you still feel depressed despondent and dejected more than two years after this concert took place?

I'm with you on the foolishness of music snobbery, but don't you make a big deal over the price of food and other items at events like the Super Bowl? Seems sort of hypocritical.

To paraphrase H. L. Mencken, no one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public.

But go ahead an enjoy being fed turds.

How is it "hypocritical" for me to scratch my head and marvel at the fact that a beer at a Braves game costs $10 now? I don't see the connection here. At all.

Let them charge $50 for a beer for all i care. I won't buy one. Just like I won't buy a Luke Bryan record.

But, i'll sleep perfectly fine at night if somebody else chooses to.
