how soon before someone sneaks in and slaps a salt life sticker on that bad boy?
Posted on 6/17/15 at 6:58 am to crispyUGA
to each his own...Thomas Rhett and Jake Owen can DIAF but I do like some of JA and LB stuff....notice I said "some"....but JA is a big time supporter of the Dawgs...almost always has a backwards UGA hat on when not in the cowboy hat...dude is from Macon...even rocks a UGA guitar strap on stage...it would be a slap in his face to not allow his signed guitar...from the first concert in Sanford to be hung in BM....just because some fans have embraced the whole anti "bro" country movement

Tech gets the Stones, UGA gets a carbon-copy "country" act. All is right with the world

Gotta give Tech a lot of credit for having Pink Floyd and the Stones. I'll admit to being jealous of yall getting those kick arse shows. I know they aren't the international act that those bands are, but imagine a Drive-by Truckers show in Sanford.
Of course yall going 1-11 in your home stadium against us helps some. (With the one win being a tech team that would of course later go on probation)

I was at the Floyd show and it was amazing.
Gotta give the UGA special events folks a major fail for never having WSP play at Sanford in their heyday. Panic in the Streets was pretty damn epic, though.
I do believe this is the year the streak ends.
( do you really think the "probation" BS is relevant?)

I'm a huge DBT fan, but i'm not sure how many tickets they would sell at the stadium.

Right the mean ncaa cheated tech. They're clearly out to get you.
I know yall don't cheat like auburn or anything, but if Georgia fans shrugged off probations the way tech has tried to, what would your reaction honestly be?
Would you believe us if we said the allegations were all extremely minor and we were railroaded? Of course you wouldn't.

If you look at my post history I was pretty vocal about how I thought the AJ Green situation was BS. I'm no fan of the NCAA when they abuse power over menial shite that doesn't affect play on the field and I think Green didn't deserve what happened to him.
I'm also a fan of that guy and how he and Johnson and Thomas work together to get better.

I bet everyone on a Tech message board would love to talk about it.

I feel like the booking went something like this:
"Guys, we're too old. We need to play somewhere where the average age is in the 60s and people don't care if the product is mediocre and 40 years past the glory days."
"Mick I got it - Georgia Tech's stadium."
"Perfect. Now let's go, we're late to bingo."

Music snobbery is a sign of low-wisdom, imo.
I picture athens ga hipsters sitting at home the night Aldean and co. played at Sanford.......crying in their McSnoot Ales.......because tens of thousands of people are having a good time to the "wrong" kind of music....
And I laugh.

Corporate country music is a corrupting influence. I'd rather listen to Drive-by Truckers or Jason Isbell.

yeah, they just played a much smaller outdoor venue in Atlanta. Candler Park Fest. I think it was $10.
