Again, I think it's the bluntness but as we all know we live in an overly PC world where saying anything remotely away from the status quo inevitably offends someone.
Idc what he said, honestly, I just think he, by now, knows what saying that will do and the ramifications. Are they right? I don't know or care, but what he is dealing with could be seen by anyone.
And he happened to pick the most vocal and bitchy group to offend. What they lack in real numbers (saw some OT thread saying that most Americans think they are like 15+% of society and IRL they are around 3-5%) they make up for in whininess.
And it's annoying. Both sides are.

I mean, playoffs are awesome, but then February happens and I have a month of pretending to care about college basketball and the NBA and then I get march madness until baseball.

And the person conducting the interview knew this and still chose to ask the "prickly" question anyway. They knew what the response would be. It's like people actually being shocked by CFA disagreeing with homosexuality.
