So found this on reddit, it shows how strong the winds will be Monday. Athens is going to get fricked with 90-100 mph winds

You don't even understand what you linked.

For perishables, four bags of ice in an empty chest freezer in the basement in Gwinalton.

Emergency rations leftover from previous ice storms still in pantry.

Two propane burners with plenty of fuel, and a bag of charcoal for the real grill. No water supply danger here. French press to make coffee.

Gas tank topped off in the jeep. Plenty of dogfood and baby food.

Im short on beer though. I need to take care of that tomorrow.

My body is mostly ready.

Got some big pines close to the house that make me nervous.

I-75 north of Macon is a parking lot going 20mph. The Kroger at Zebulon road has no water. The Wal-mart across the street has 6 pallets. Every gas station is open. Shell and Marathon.

I had a combo #2 at the Nu-way. Bucket trucks heading south were ordering 10-20 to-go.

They should just put the projected path over near Nevada and let us know if it's gonna be more east than that. Why the frick did I pack anything up?

I'll be at the Florida Emergency Response Ops Center in Tallahassee starting Sunday evening as the storm is predicted to be heading up the Florida peninsula.

Fortunately, I should have full power through the Notre Dame game. Regardless of the outcome, I'll be repping with the 'G' cap. Hopefully after a win. And although I hope they stay safe ... frick the gators.

The terrifying part about this thread has nothing to do with hurricanes.

Dear future space alien archeologists, I know it will be hard to believe, but not all of us were this fricking clueless and dumb.

Anyone staying in Savannah? Can't decide if I should go inland to Statesboro or just stay here.

There might be stuff open in Statesboro. I don't think anything is open here now (except the Red and White in Habersham Village). Liqour store closed at 10:00 last night for the next few days : (

Took me 11 hrs to go from Springhill to Albany (normal 4.5hr drive)to drop my dogs off with my parents yesterday...I have to provide anesthesia for some of the north Tampa area hospitals so my Georgia visit was short..I was 1 of like 10 cars southbound this am....Springhill Florida (35 mins north of tampa) is going to get hit directly by irma''s eye....eff that bitch..little bit of wind right now..I'm in my pool grilling burgers and watching football...I'm not in a flood zone but expecting 100mph winds sun night and mon morning..maybe I'll fly a kite.....on the positive side...we do need the rain :)

I hear ya. I'm on Wilmington Island but not on the water. I highly doubt a serious storm surge will happen the way it currently looks. I also think the farther east you are the better at this point which is why I'm skeptical that Statesboro is a safer option.

By tomorrow Irma may miss FL altogether - gonna be some pissed off people.

Hell - it may not even rain east of the Savannah River. I know forecasting isn't an exact science but they sure did hype this one up.
