People are preparing like I've never seen. Mathew scared the hell out of everyone last year. Stores all over Brunswick were selling out of water yesterday. That's almost a full week before the storm even gets close.

Selling out of water is full retard. Tap water is running and you can fill up containers like a motherfricker so why the bottled water?

At HHI right now. Gas 2.74 when we filled up today. Word is evacuation imminent. Not planning to head
back before Sunday that will probably change. People here say so much rain already this season there's no place else for water to go, so very much not good.

The 305's should be fine. I just hope the winds don't wreck things too bad. Fortunately, Lanier is 5 feet below full pool and with the dam and overall terrain, it would take Houston amounts of water in the basin to cause note-worthy flooding even if it was full.

I was in Hurricane Andrew doesn't matter if it "runs", it can be contaminated so it's not drinkable. If they advise filling up tubs/sinks now while water still ok, do it. We were without drinkable water for days when Andrew hit and this one appears to be way worse.

All of the Macon stores are sold out of bottled water per wsb radio. That's the level of retard I'm talking about.
ETA- If you live on the coast and you are concerned enough about your safety to stack up bottled water, get the frick out.

Well I'm 20 minutes north of jax so everyone's freaking out. Base is evacuating tomorrow and I think I'm gonna stay. Will probably decide Friday or Saturday.

I totally understand this as I have lived in the Macon area they cray cray you are probably OK and don't have to worry about it but just as an FYI

I'm an hour from the Florida line, and I'm staying until a real threat is imminent. Water and gas supplies are drying up here. Florida folks are rapidly arriving and I don't believe in grabbing up a motel room when they need them here. I'd rather wait and drive a little further to let them seek refuge a little closer to home should it get that bad in South Georgia

As of an hour ago, local weather is showing Monday at 8 pm, Irma will be a CAT 2. Still worth monitoring but not worth filling a 300 gallon sprayer with gas and buying 10 cases of water to me. God Speed to all those being affected. Shame it's taken a couple of natural disasters to make everyone forget political or racial differences and thank God for football to keep simple minds like mine at ease.
