Looks like it's coming right at Columbia but should have calmed down some by then. Cabinets are full - I just hope we don't lose power for an extended time or I'll be having one hell of a barbecue

I'm worried about that too in Aiken, and school cancellation.

Saw quite a few Seahawks and other helicopters headed north along the beach this morning. Was that part of the evac of KB?

All bases will relocate aircraft in the path of a storm like this.

I want to wait on the mail Saturday. My direct deposit didn't update so HR sent me a paper check. I'd like to have my first paycheck before I leave

Son is down in Savannah and is heeding the mandatory evac. He and his girlfriend are leaving for my place tonight. I hope to see them by tomorrow afternoon...I think traffic is going to become more of a nightmare as each hour passes.

I don't know where some of y'all are seeing that this will be Cat1 when hitting GA Coast? Everything I've seen says minimum cat3 with over a dozen inches of rain, 5-10' storm surge, and wind gusts well north of 100mph. Riding it out may seem like the easiest solution but Irma doesn't seem like the kinda bitch you wanna frick around with.

Never forget - you can't take it with you.

Looks like I'll be putting up some cousins from Summerville SC. My daughter's hosting Savannah folks. Hope they're all better quality than Katrina refugees.

Left Sea island this morning. I-95 traffic only slowed a few times near Savannah. I-16 75mph to Macon is clear.

Ware Co just got the state of emergency declaration

might be putting up the folks.

I dont see it coming all the way up through Florida with enough power to damage Wayx significantly. Still worried though.

Selling out of water is full retard. Tap water is running and you can fill up containers like a motherfricker so why the bottled water?

People need to buy batteries and beer.

Lost me for a split second with the tap water post. Tap water turns you full slave retard.

Regained strength with second comment. Nothing more fun that blowing up batteries while you're drunk watching it rain.

Gwinnett.

They're in town this weekend for a reunion and figured driving back to the Charleston area on Sunday might be problematical.
