just that weve been upfront with him and have kept our promises regarding his evaluation and recruitment so he feels very comfortable with our staff and has a lot of respect for our staff. then he went on how much he and kyle still talk to one another and how he and kyler talk all the time and how playing together is definitely something hes thought about

Kirk said he's going to take visits to other SEC schools this summer. I saw an interview with the Auburn site. He speaks highly of every school he talks about. He loved his visits to Ohio State and USC.

I hate to burst his bubble, but post the RSJ incident, Texas hasn't gotten a recruit of note from the Houston area in almost 2 years. Weathersby broke that streak (and my that was out of the blue). I'm sure it's all just coincidence that their Hou area recruiting went from elite to epic failure over night
Also, I love the use of probably by Bobby there. They were twice busted for straight paying players during that time. I even think it's when he was in school so he can't pretend he doesn't know that.

I like that their fanbase is so willfully naive about it. It's good for amusement. So I'll just leave this here:
In 2012, coming off back-to-back 5-7 (2-6 conference) and 8-5 (4-5) seasons, the sips had the #2 composite recruiting class that had 21 4/5* players. The '13 class, despite better results on the field, contained only 9 4/5* players, the least in over 10 years. Zero 4/5* players committed after the RSJ incident which was 6 months before signing day.

I got the impression our offer was just a placeholder to keep him from committing soon. We often do that with guys we think we want but want to go evaluate in person during the spring eval period. If you can keep them from committing anywhere, then you can do an in-person eval. I think you'll see us focus on which of our outstanding offers we really want by mid-May.
