Looks like Strong has officially pulled another ship. This time to '15 commit Jalen Campbell.
quote:

We've taken DB Jalen Campbell off of the commitment list.

For his part, Campbell has said he is committed to Texas. But Campbell has also stated that the new Texas staff is waiting to see him in camp before re-extending a scholarship offer. - Bobby Burton

I appreciate Bobby must spin this, but I don't think he'd be taking him off the list unless he got info stating they were not going to "re-extend" an offer. IE, his offer was pulled.

FYI - Campbell committed and then blew his ACL last fall

I don't think he was that good to begin with but the injury has clearly kept schools away

I would still assume were his leader, but we just aren't as clear cut above the rest like we used to be

I wonder if the off-season has anything to do with the bit of negativity swirling around a little bit right now....

or maybe he just took a step back to look at everything again. happens all the time. once we get kyler officially on board it should be easier with malik

Kyler is an important domino, no doubt. Especially, that he's supposed to make a decision before school is over....

don't understand the comment. Negativity? Recruiting is pretty exceptionally positive. We have the #1 or #2 class at the moment and most think we lead for like 5 other 5* recruits

Good (but not great) speed and other measurables. Great hands. Smooth receiver who was decent at this week's NTFC but didn't blow anyone out of the water.

He was an early offer for most of the local schools and Sumlin made him a priority. He's slipped on our board over the last month but I'm not entirely sure why. May just be a lack of space but I thought he was in our top 3 but come to find out as of 4/1 he's not.

Still, think he'll end up at A&M or UTx.

hamm said either today or yesterday that chigbu was the top receiver on our board. which I find hard to believe with kirk, lodge, Johnson, and siverand but that's what he said

if he said that, I know who he got that from. Was asked not to repeat that

did he say anything about the RB board?
